Use of information technology begins in kindergarten and continues through eighth grade. Students learn computer and information technology literacy while using the computer as an instructional tool.
Computers are used in classrooms, in nine computer labs and in all libraries. Each elementary school offers a networked computer lab and a technology specialist. The Middle School provides four computer labs and two computer teachers.
Under the Director of Educational Technology, teachers use computer assisted instruction, integrate computer applications into all subject areas. Students learn during specified computer literacy classes as well as during other subjects when they are brought to the labs by their classroom teacher.
Each elementary school features a networked computer lab. Voorhees Middle School offers three computer labs as well as computer aided drafting and a computerized library catalogue that accesses the Camden County Library card catalogueas well as other online services, including Internet, through (the Camden County Network).
