The Reading Specialists work cooperatively with the teachers, the building principal, the other district reading specialists, and the district reading supervisor to implement and support the literacy program. We also evaluate the skills of new students as well as those of students experiencing difficulty. We demonstrate skill and strategy lessons in the classrooms, and work with small groups of students to refine skills.
