Hamilton School Library Media Center

The Library Media Center wing is the original part of Hamilton School and was built in 1970.  It is the only library in the Voorhees Township School District that is not enclosed, but is surrounded by classrooms that open into it.  The glass windows on both ends of the large high-ceiling room let in plenty of light.  The Library Media Center has the best air quality in the school due to the plant collection of ferns, spider plants, ivy, philodendron, etc.  Mrs. Rosenberg is happy to give baby spider plants to students with parents' permission, along with instructions for their care.

The library collection consists of almost 12,000 books.  Four computers are available for student use for Internet, research, and the library's catalog (OPAC).  The large bulletin board above the Biography section features a monthly calendar of historical events, author and illustrator birthdays, and other seasonal information.
